The overarching objective of the workshop was to raise the awareness for the need for adaptation and provide a platform for exchanging experience and taking stock of recent developments on, and potential for future deployment of Nature-based Solutions for climate change adaptation.
The domestic event provided an informal discussion space to identify options by which biodiversity, climate and sustainable development policies (both nationally and internationally) can support scaling up nature-based solutions that support climate change adaptation actions.
The aim of the domestic Workshop was to raise awareness for the need for adaptation, to provide a platform for exchanging experience and taking stock of recent developments on Nature-based Solutions (NbS), to show potential for future deployment of NbS for climate change adaptation also as a relevant element in the National Adaptation Plan (NAP). The workshop also provided an informal discussion space to identify options for supporting and scaling up Nature-based Solutions that climate change adaptation.
