TAIEX TRATOLOW Regional workshop on technologies to tackle the Climate Change

On July 10 and 11, 2024, a TAIEX TRATOLOW regional workshop on technologies to tackle climate change took place in Skopje, North Macedonia. The workshop supported the TRATOLOW beneficiaries in identifying their climate technology needs, leveraging individual and regional advantages for climate technology development, and prioritizing climate technology programs and policies.
Additionally, the workshop provided insights into improving market systems, governance, and policy frameworks to facilitate technology uptake. Further, it covered available funding sources and strategies to attract investment.
Experts from the European Commission, EU and international institutions, universities and private companies from Austria, Romania, Slovakia, Croatia and Slovenia, shared their knowledge and experiences the TRATOLOW beneficiaries who participated in the event. They discussed possibilities in single economies, their ongoing activities and plans, investments and EU funds available for different climate technologies, sharing the EU Member States' experiences in prioritizing and implementing climate technology programs and policies.
Moreover, experts from the TRATOLOW beneficiaries presented their technology-related efforts for decarbonisation and achievement of carbon neutrality. These presentations offered TRATOLOW beneficiaries valuable knowledge, from theoretical explanations to practical examples, enriching their understanding and providing actionable ideas.
