TAIEX TRATOLOW Sectoral training on use of UNFCCC CRF software web application-tool for preparation of reporting tables

To provide training on the use of UNFCCC CRF software to the national GHG inventory teams – this was the main objective of this two-day session in Vienna, Austria. Following a first online training on theoretical basics on April 6, 2022, this second part aimed at practical training on how to correctly fill in CRF tables using the latest CRF software web application, including links to calculation files and procedures for quality control.
For this, sector experts from the TRATOLOW beneficiary countries were familiarized with the relevant CRF tables to make sure that the needed background data was collected together with the data for calculating emissions at the disaggregation level required for reporting. Further topics included: inventory management and workflow steps as well as difficulties, gaps and challenges in selected sectors. In addition, the workshop was accompanied by the exchange of experience, breakout sessions with experts as well as lively expert talks and discussions.
