Regional workshop on Long-term Strategies, including European Green Deal, Green Agenda and European Climate Law focused on development and the implementation of the Long-term Strategies and implementation of Green Agenda in the Beneficiary Countries. During the workshop, the EU legislation was presented, the experiences of the EU Member States were shared and challenges in the region were discussed. In addition, already existing strategies in the beneficiaries were discussed and the experiences between the member states and beneficiaries exchanged.
The workshop aimed to help the Beneficiaries in the development of Long-term strategies by outlining importance, advantages and urgency of such strategies. Further expert views on and support for developing Long-term strategies, as well as related challenges and ways to overcome them; explore the relationship between long-term impacts and near-term climate actions and NDC implementation.
