This training with participants from the relevant authorities of beneficiary countries aimed at introducing and training the use of UNFCCC CRF software web application, a tool for reporting tables. It took place via Teams on April 6, 2022.
The goal of the session was to train the national GHG inventory teams for each sectors on the filling of CRF tables by using the newest CRF software web application version. The training assignment included linkages to calculation files, and procedures for quality control. For each year, the CRF files summarize information, sectorial emission tables, indirect emissions, key categories, information on notation keys, recalculations, methods and emission factors used, trend tables, improvements and tables specific to Kyoto Protocol requirements in a total of 96 tables.
Furthermore, the experts were made familiar with the relevant CRF tables to ensure the collection of necessary background data and data to calculate the emissions at the disaggregation level required for reporting.
In general, the workshop also supported the need to raise awareness for climate policy, the creation of a common platform to exchange experiences and possible future actions in terms of GHG inventories for each sector, and the space for informal discussions.
