TAIEX TRATOLOW Domestic workshop on Monitoring and Indicators for Adaptation – Bosnia and Herzegovina
Webinar | Zoom Platform
31 March 2022
This domestic workshop with relevant authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina and expert presenters from their fields of competence focused on Monitoring, Reporting and Evaluation (MRE). The one-day session (31 March 2022) took place virtually.
The main objectives were the newest developments in the adaptation of MRE at national level, mainly in Europe. For this, best practice examples of monitoring and evaluation of national adaptation strategies, resulting challenges and lessons learnt were shared and discussed with the colleagues from Bosnia and Herzegovina. This included topics like stakeholder engagement, the role of adaptation indicators in monitoring, reporting and evaluation, and the use of knowledge generated by MRE efforts to improve and further promote policy and practice.
Furthermore, the online session talked about the links of domestic MRE activities to knowledge requirements at different levels of governance (local and international) and provided an interactive space in which the experiences and insights of the speakers and participants could flow into MRE practice in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It also raised awareness for the need for adapting indicators and monitoring and created a common platform to exchange experiences and possible future actions in terms of indicators and monitoring for climate change adaptation, and the space for informal discussions.
